Indiana Jones 5: Please, Make It Stop

If you didn’t get around to seeing Indiana Jones 4 last summer, consider yourself lucky. That, frankly, was one of the most disappointing movies of 2008 - possibly one of the worst sequels of all time. Harrison Ford was just too old to be an action star, and as far as plot goes, well, let’s just say they made fools of themselves. So it brings us great displeasure to learn that there’s a fifth Indiana Jones film in the works, with Harrison Ford back on board to play an even older Indiana Jones. The fifth installment of the series is allegedly supposed to begin production next year, with a tentative release date for 2011. Now, let’s do a little math here. Harrison Ford is 67 years old. That means that when Indiana Jones 5 drops, he will be almost 70 years old. Are they kidding? Do they really think this is a good idea? We were more enamored by the fact that Ford didn’t break his hip on screen during the fourth installment than the actual plot, and we’re not sure if we can sit through another Indiana Jones movie without fearing for his impending demise. Somebody get this man to a retirement home - stat.
