Oh, Fiddy. You should have learned your lesson about starring in films when Get Rich or Die Tryin’ tanked at the box office (considering it only made $6 million in revenue after evening out budget costs, yes, it is a flop by our standards). So here comes a clip from 50’s upcoming flick Streets of Blood, a film where he co-stars with Val Kilmer as a pair of narcotics cops on patrol in a post-Katrina New Orleans. We find it kind of ironic that 50, known for drug-dealing in the past, would even consider playing a narcotics cop - there’s something twisted here. But while we’re dubious about the legitimacy of the casting and premise, we feel kind of bad that the film isn’t even being given a chance. The film leaked to the internet last month ahead of its July 13 release date, and it’s facing the threat of being released straight to DVD. Judging by the clip above, though, we’d say that’s probably a wise decision.
