Bubbletweets didn’t really pick up steam in the Twittersphere, but Livestream thinks there’s gold to be mined. The streaming service has just launched TwitCam, a site that allows you to log into their service, only to have a tweet sent to your Twitter page that links to your stream. The idea sounds simple enough, even though it’s actually a service that piggybacks on Twitter by redirecting traffic to their own site. Nonetheless, it’s much less annoying than Bubbletweet - that’s for certain (fish-lens camera views are never appropriate). The launch of TwitCam comes ahead of Justin.tv’s release of Camtweet, a similar service that’s promised to be more customizable, with both services having to compete with the almighty Ustream. We’re just happy giving our 140 character updates on a semi-regular schedule, because frankly, the last thing anyone needs to see is what we actually look like on camera.
