The tragic death of DJ AM was made even more tragic by the fact that he had just shot a pilot for a series where he staged interventions to help people kick their drug habits. But now, it looks like we’ll be able to watch the irony unfold before our very eyes, with the announcement that MTV plans on airing Gone Too Far in spite of the circumstances surrounding AM’s death. On the show, which was supposed to originally air on October 5th, AM helped various people by sharing his experiences as a drug addict, filming eight episodes that he wrapped up shooting only three days before his death. Though nothing’s set in stone regarding the airing of Gone Too Far, sources close to MTV claim that it’s more than likely to happen. Sad, sad stuff.
