Tom Ford might be best known for his illustrious fashion career, but he’s ventured outside of the clothing industry by shifting to film by directing his debut feature A Single Man. Adapted from the Christopher Isherwood novel of the same name, the film, which premiered at the 66th Venice International Film Festival back in September, focuses on a gay British professor (Colin Firth) living in Southern California that struggles to make sense of reality following the death of his partner. A Single Man, which also stars Julianne Moore, Matthew Goode and Nicholas Hoult, will hit theaters on December 11th care of the Weinstein Company. And judging by the trailer, the cinematography alone is reason enough to check this one out.
