Regardless of what you’ve been told, history is cool. And it’s about to get much cooler. According to Variety, the History Channel is currently in the process of putting together the 12-part America the Story of Us series, with talent like Meryl Streep, Michael Douglas, Colin Powell, Brian Williams, Buzz Aldrin, Gen. Tommy Franks, Donald Trump, John Lasseter and Stevie Wonder taking part in the docu series. The series, which is slated to air next year, will cover 400 years of American history and pre-history, with the channel preparing educational materials for schools to use in conjunction with the series. The on-air talent is just an added bonus here - how could you not want to learn about American history when Stevie Wonder is the one dishing it?
