HBO’s “Pacific” Gets Air Date

You probably missed the first trailer for HBO’s upcoming war miniseries The Pacific, so we’re doing the work for you and reposting it above. Now that we got that out of the way, Variety has learned that HBO plans to debut the 10-part miniseries beginning on March 14th, followed by an hourlong episode to air ever subsequent Sunday until May 16th. For those of you that haven’t yet heard about this, the war series is produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, and is hailed as the “complement” to Band of Brothers (on which they also produced). The Pacific stars James Badge Dale, Joe Mazzello and Jon Seda, all of whom play Marines in a group that travel through the Pacific Theater and take part in the battles at Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. Set those DVRs now!
