If you hadn’t already heard over the past few days, Dr. Conrad Murray, who supplied Michael Jackson with the drug that allegedly killed him, was expected to turn himself in on charges of involuntary manslaughter. But if it were up to the Jackson family, they would pull out the big guns. According to the AP, the Jackson family’s lawyer Brian Oxman said on behalf of the family that an involuntary manslaughter charged given to Murray would be “just a slap on the wrist,” he told CBS’s The Early Show this morning. “That is just a slap on the wrist, and a slap in the face, because Michael Jackson was someone who we knew was in danger of being brought to his knees, brought his death, by the use of these medications,” Oxman said. And considering that involuntary manslaughter only carries a maximum jail sentence of four years? Guess that Dr. Murray reality show just got a whole lot more interesting.
