Last Friday, Dr. Conrad Murray - aka the doctor that allegedly administered too much propofol to Michael Jackson and caused his sudden death - was supposed to turn himself in to Los Angeles authority on charges of involuntary manslaughter. But after there was some sort of internal conflict at the DA’s office, Dr. Murray has been officially charged today with involuntary manslaughter, three days after his original turn-in date. According to the L.A. Times, prosecutors charged him with administering a combination of surgical anesthetic and sedatives and acting “without due caution and circumspection” after the 50-year-old King of Pop unexpectedly died from cardiac arrest last summer. Murray will serve a maximum of four years in prison, far less than the maximum 11 years that he would have served if found guilty of voluntary manslaughter. We all know how the Jackson family feels about this.
