Honestly, we didn’t think Lil Wayne’s new rock album The Rebirth was good enough to sell more than 100 copies, yet the American public continues to prove us wrong. Though Lady Antebellum topped the chart again this week with Need You Now (201,426 copies sold), Rebirth came in a close second, moving an impressive 173,821 copies to edge out Nick Jonas and the Administration to number three (the latter sold 83,963 copies of Who I Am). Label mates Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas held it down at four and five with The Fame and The E.N.D., selling 83,520 and 70,462 copies, respectively. Other notables this week? Maxwell getting a healthy bump from his Grammy win, with blacksummers’night bumping up to 42, selling 14,363 copies. And sadly, quality still continues to eclipse quantity, with Styles P and Green Lantern’s The Green Ghost Project selling only 2,400 units of their street mixtape. Sigh. Support good music, peoples!
