Funny. Last we heard, Wes Craven would next be hopping into the director’s chair to shoot the fourth installment of the Scream franchise, the first in another trilogy that builds upon the first three films. But Bloody Disgusting seems to think otherwise. According to the site, Craven will next direct Sunflower, a film written by Misha Green (”Sons of Anarchy,” “Heroes”), despite the fact that SKE claims that Craven has not signed any deal. The film is said to focus on a “woman on the verge of running away from her life [who] is uprooted when a seemingly straight-faced professor abducts her forcing to play a part in his twisted world.” And while production on Scream 4 is slated to begin in April, this might throw a wrench into the machine. Let’s hope otherwise.
